Does anyone have a clean understanding of the quality of AIR to be suppled to endo scope clean rooms?

I hear all kinds of talk with the words Medical Air (Med Air) & Instrument Air (IA).

Both of these have defined meaning to me (i.e. NFPA 99 2012 Edition Definitions)

FGI: Has a line item with the words ( Medical Air ).

HOSPITAL STAFF: Are coming back from trade shows and educational seminars with the words ( Instrument Air ).

What is the requirement and by WHO ?

    Al,

I have been working with the endoscopy processing equipment manufacturers for a few years, and the quality of air that they need is “instrument grade air”, not to be confused with instrument air as described in NFPA 99.

I am not near my office this week, where I have the exact description of instrument grade air.

To summarize, less than 1 mg particulate, and less then 3 deg. C dew point.

I will provide additional documentation when I have time.
