Is deep sedation and general anesthesia allowed in a category two system?

A category 2 medical gas and vacuum system is where the patients, staff and visitors are subject to minor injury when there is a failure of a particular system, equipment or activity. Since deep sedation and general analgesia are the closest thing to death any patient can experience and live to talk about it, I would say no to general analgesia and deep sedation in a category 2 medical gas and vacuum system.

Once you sign up for the CMGV credential/re-credential test I will be sending you a study matrix for a guide to find the sections in NFPA 99, 2015 edition to concentrate on for the changes in the new examination.
