This sounds like a vacuum bottle catch situation that requires monitoring. It would be intermittant suction because the catheter is inserted in the peritoneum and that would be the only way it would work.

What year printed edition of NFPA 99, was this system designed and approved for patient use? Additionally what category space, was this system designed and approved for patient use?
