I remember being invited by the Evens brothers to Oklahoma City for a meeting of medical gas owners from around the country before there was a MGPHO. It was the first time most of us had met other med gas folks outside our regions. We talked of forming a group to promote and advance the field of med gas and share ideas. At first many of us were reluctant to share knowledge, lest our regional competitors learn too much. During subsequent meetings, this gradually evolved with many of us becoming friends and freely sharing ideas and practices.
