ASSE 6040, seriously?

How can a group of code oriented specialists teach an engineer to perform preventive maintenance on a oil lubricated rotary vane vacuum system?

How meaningful will this ASSE code class be for evaluating the performance of this system or any other system? How will they teach the hospital engineer how to develop a system specific preventive maintenance schedule?

Is any of this covered in the ASSE 6040 test for the credential qualification?

IF it is I missed it, I am not perfect.

I thought I made a mistake a long time ago but I was wrong.

Maybe that is why the ASSE 6040 is an OPTION in NFPA 99, 2012 and 2015 and NOT A REQUIREMENT.
