    We had an inspector write up a manifold room because the exhaust fan motor was inside the room with the medical gas cylinders.  Obviously they can’t have a medical air compressor and cylinder manifolds in the same enclosure, but I never thought of this situation as an issue until now.

    What was the outcome?


    One of our colleagues in Atlanta had it come up and they determined that the code was written to prevent things like pump motors.

    In that case, I believe they used a different blower and solved the problem, but honestly I never heard.
