Valves for future connection intended for use only as a temporary service feed (back feed) location shall be permitted to be installed with a female adapter and plug.  These valves must be normally closed and only open when a temporary supply is being connected to the system.

This would allow facilities to install a temporary service feed valve with a threaded connection and plug on the future use side of the valve to facilitate easily providing temporary service to a given area.  These valves would eliminate the need for having to backfeed through a patient room outlet as is typically done.
